Vintage Original 1960's RARE Schwinn Sting-Ray 2 Speed Bendix VIOLET Original Slick Tire Bike Bicycle / This color is very hard to find in the early Sting-Ray Schwinn bikes. I got this from a man who's dad just recently passed away.

Always nice to get a bike form the original owner. Chrome over all was very nice and just took some light 0000 steel wool to chrome and that also polished up nicely.

It has both original factory Schwinn tires.. Rear is a SLICK that is in very nice shape, Front is a Westwind that shows cracking and age. All I did was pump up the tires and both held air.. The cable right at the top of the brake handle is missing a little gromet that holds it tight to the handle unit, so that is needed to make the brake unit work when you pull the handle lever..

Has the always missing original factory reflectors. Front HUB has the SCHWINN script style, Rear hub is the BENDIX overdrive 2 speed Automatic. SADDLE as seen is original and clearly seen will need to be recovered if so desired. The sissy bar has scrapes, but the chrome is also nice and also has original bolts.

The front Schwinn name plate is beat, and should be replaced. The son said his dad had some kind of story about his brother stealing his plate off his bike back in the day. Also has original grips and A. S seat post set clamp bolt. Overall a very nice hard to find violet color sting-ray that will need a few up-grades, and maybe you could ad a front fender and some lights.
