This is a vintage Schwinn Suburban bicycle in burgundy. It did not really make sense to have a ten speed, heavy steel framed bicycle for my commute in any case. I also wanted a more relaxed, upright European style ride. (actually the narrow handle bars work really well in navigating busy traffic). Regularly used to go to work and do local errands I acquired the bicycle in 2013 and had the following parts fitted over the years.
Aluminum rims and stainless steel spokes. Aluminum rear luggage rack (for panniers). The tires (271-1/4) hold air well, but probably due for a replacement in a few months or year. It is, all-in-all, a dearly loved bicycle but I need to let it go since we moved house and I have nowhere to put it conveniently. By the way it photographs well in the sun, hence some close-ups of the rust as well.
