Vintage Schwinn Green 26 Deluxe Hornet Ballooner Bicycle AS Springer Fork. Vintage Early Postwar (AS) Arnold Schwinn Ballooner Springer fork off a Schwinn Deluxe Hornet Bike with 26 S-2 Wheels. This Fork was used in the late 1940s and the early 1950s (I forget what year they stopped using the skinny struts) Fork can be used on a Postwar head tubes (5 1/2 tall head tube with out cups), can be used on B-6, DX, Panther, Hornet, Phantom, Streamliner, Wasp, Hollywood, Starlet, etc... This Springer will also work with 1941 frames that have bigger 5 1/2 head tubes. Fork is used, has decent original paint, has patina, decent chrome, some rust, early skinny struts, for 26 balloon tire wheels, over all a nice original Green AS Springer Fork.
The threaded 1" fork tube is approximately 7" long with about 1 1/8 of threading. I have included photos for your inspection, comes as shown. Need a Different Fork, Headset, or Fork Parts?
