A nice original Schwinn Dealer Advertising High Wheeler bicycle wire art picture. Schwinn Approved part number 74 898. These were commissioned by Schwinn from a local wire artist in the Chicago area Carl Reed. The picture is signed by the artist on the back and dated 1974.

There were three wire art pictures offered to the dealers for display, a Schwinn Sting-Ray, a Lightweight bicycle, and this High Wheeler bicycle. The picture is in great condition for being 50 years old. The wound wire is still in great condition and the wood background and copper cobblestone ground at the bottom of the picture is great too. The center of the high wheel has a little corrosion on it, as does the brushed mtal frame on the top edge. I haven't cleaned or polished these parts at all, so it may be able to be cleaned off.
