Vintage Schwinn Balloon Tire Cruiser Frame : Frame is 26 Vintage Classic Schwinn Balloon Tire / Ballooner / Fat Tire Steel Mens Cruiser Frame or Ladies Ballooner frame from various dates. Built in the USA from 1947s to late 1950s and will out last any of the Chinese built Junk Schwinns Built today.

Your Selection will give Color and a date estimate from serial number referencing. Frame is Full size adult frames and 26" refers to the Balloon Tire / Ballooner / Fat Tire size 26" x 2.125 used. Frame is Used, shows wear, can have rust, & possible small dents, May have Original Paint, Patina Finish, Fading, Paint, Decal, & Finish loss.

Patina Finish shows age and is resealed. The 1951 Maroon Panther has Nice Original but the Head tube is stretched and will require shims when installing the headset.

The 1949 Blue Patina Phantom has wear marks / crank dents where the crank hit the rear bottom stays. Primer Frame was sand blasted sprayed with Self Etching Primer (Greenish) and Sprayed with Heavy Build Primer (Grey) and needs Sanding to get the primer smooth & straight - Primer Frame is Not ready to go Needs Body work. Flat Black Deibo is Sand Blasted and painted flat black for a nice clean look. "OS" Over spray is rattle canned over the paint. There are a lot of Ladies Frames and some have tanks hopefully we can get them to some new homes.

Ballooner Schwinn Frames can accommodate 26" x 2.125" wheels & balloon tires. Rear spacing on Old Schwinn frames is around 112mm to 114mm wide, accommodating most Coaster Brake, 3 speed Sturmey Archer, & Bendix 2 speed kick back hubs. This Schwinn Frame may of been a: Phantom, B-6, DX, Panther, Hornet, Streamliner, Autocycle, Wasp, Jaguar, BF Goodrich, Flying Star, Spitfire, Meteor, Paperboy, Straightbar, Leader, Hollywood, Starlet, etc....

Skiptooth Options will NOT Include a Chain Since they are No Longer available new. The Schwinn Build Kit Kickstands may not be Compatible with the Ladies Ballooner Frames. The New Build Kit comes with New Parts: Crank, 46 tooth Chainring with your choice of Phantom or Sweetheart or 4 Hole, 24tpi Bottom Bracket, Pedals, & Chain. Kit Comes as your Selection Shows with Date Details in the selection Menu. New Tube Fork & Headset from LuxLow : Schwinn Cut Fork tube Fork Comes in Chrome or Black. New Tubular Fork & Headset for use with Post War Schwinn Frames. The Fork is Quality Chrome Steel, has 1 1/8" tubular Fork Blades, accepts a 100mm wide front hub, takes a 7/8" or 22.22mm Diameter quill stem, and has enough clearance for Fat 26" x 2.125" Cruiser Tires. The axle center to bottom of the fork crown is approximately 14" or 356mm and the axle center to the brake pivot hole is approximately 14 1/2" or 368mm. In rare cases some old bikes may of seen too much excessive use and the head tube is stretched, making the cups a loose fit, in that event a shim may be needed for a tight fit.

This is our Convenient Direct Install Fork for Vintage Chicago Built Schwinn Frames with a 5 1/2 head tube and was measured & cut to our supplied headset stack height. HandleBars, Stem, & Grips : A Cruiser Cock Pit, About 29 wide Steer-horn Cruiser Bars with a 22.2mm center, Old School BMX 4 bolt Stem for use with 22.2mm bars and to insert into 22.2mm fork tubes, & Reproduction Oval Comfort Grips. This Combination has proven it self in the field for reliability and comfort, The use of the 4 bolt stem provides strength against any slippage from horking down & heavy use.

Kick Stand : Original Schwinn Middleweight Sprag Kick Stand. Quality Used Kickstand, may show wear & have rust. Requires a Special kickstand Tool to Install.
