This Excelsior Badge Is from Pre 1912, the year Arnold Schwinn bought the Excelsior Supply Company so he could get rid of the competition and get into making Schwinn Motorcycles. This is how Schwinn got the name Excelsior on Schwinn bicycles.

I could have swore I saw this badge on a Single Cylinder Excelsior Motorcycle that looks alot like a bicycle. I believe there was a site somewhere also that shows the different badges for the years. The back looks to be brass?

Looks like there may be a silver paint over the front- I did not try to clean or restore it at all.
