VINTAGE postwar SCHWINN DX 26 mens & ladies BALLOON TIRE bicycles-Matching Set

  
Absolutely stunning set of vintage Schwinn bikes! I do not want to sell separately. To a casual observer, they look very much like new bikes. They do have a few minor flaws but I would call them very minor. I do not know if the maroon & cream color is original on both bikes.

I do not know what parts are original and what has been replaced. I do know that everything was done VERY neatly. The front of both tanks are NOT dented and there are clear plastic guards on the fork tubes to help protect the tank. Both bikes have skip-tooth cranks.

Serial # of the ladies' bike: F002624. The men's bike was built in 1952. The ladies' bike was built in 1949. Both bikes have 26 x 2.125 white wall tires that do have some surface cracking in the whitewall areas. The tire brand is GT and they do hold air and are otherwise in great condition.
