Vintage "Radiant Blue" 1964 (1st Year) J-88 Schwinn `FAIR LADY` Girl`s Sting-Ray. Well cared for from a private collection - super clean, complete with the original tires! Serial # K49XXXX Built: October 22, 1964. Overhauled with care and is in super nice condition for it`s age. All bearings were cleaned and re-greased.

Crank is dated `64, fork is dated 10+4, and the front axle is stamped Z-64. Factory `Radiant Blue` paint is all original and has a few nicks and dings as expected but is in really good condition, shines nicely and has no touch-ups.

Looks like an old decal was removed above the round Schwinn head tube logo. All the screens are original, intact and in great condition. Guard is quite nice but also has scratches, etc. Persons solo polo saddle looks quite nice looking and has a new rear tag.

It`s the original seat and not a recover so it`s not perfect but but is still pliable and not hard dry and cracked. It has a repair on each `side` back by the sissy bar mounts, bottom edge (see pics) and has been re-sprayed with off white marine vinyl spray.

It is not cut up, ripped or torn. This has the correct Q bolts and the `large crimp`sissy bar. Reflector is the small Stinsonite 10 (two pie) on the original bracket.

The center stamped S-7 (28 spoke) tubular rims are in very good shape with full, clear imprints and run true. The chrome shines very nice but there is some light peppering and scratches here and there.

Rear rim is `double stamped` and the hub is the `correct` Mattatuck `All American` USA coaster brake. Chrome on the crank is very nice.

The lucky 7 sprocket looks good. Pedals look nice and the end cap logo`s are somewhat readable. Those full `HUGE` chrome fenders are nearly flawless.. But man do they look sweet! NOTE: I have seen four of these original 1964 Fair Lady bikes and all had the same Mattatuck `All American` USA coaster brake rear hub, not Bendix!

Handle bars are the super wide, fine knurled with light scrapes on top. Chrome is good with nice chubby grips... (they have a slight patina) Sissy bar is stamped `Persons USA` and has some scratches and chrome loss on top. Stem is stamped `max ht` with nice chrome.

Post is nice with good AS clamp. Nice original non-Chicago head badge, and good fork crown. Both Schwinn `Westwind` tires are ORIGINAL to the bike and in very nice condition! They are both dated exactly the same C (9 4) 1.

They are both the original Carlisle tires dated September 1964! They do have some very fine cracks but are very soft and flexible and have lots of tread. Added were an NOS Schwinn basket, NOS Schwinn chrome carrier, NOS Schwinn cross flag valve caps and NOS Schwinn streamers. If `someone` were to add a pair of NOS white grips it would look almost brandkin`, off the showroom floor, new!

This `64 Sting-Ray is really sweet for being a 53 year old girls bike and a great original collectors item! Could use to be cleaned up again and re-polished upon arrival at your home but is an awesome looking, great riding and everything works as it should! Please look closely at the pictures and please ask any questions, but I think I covered most everything.
