Beautiful Vintage 1959 Schwinn Debutante Bicycle. I was surprised to meet the. Owner and I inquired how long had he.

He told me that he had owned. New in about the 1950's. He said that he and his sister had. New bikes at the same. This one was of course his sister's.

He told me that as a boy, he had worn his out long ago. However, this bike had been put away in a family barn, where it has been all these years, thus the great condition. The bike has some imperfections, but they are minor. This would make an easy restoration! I checked the net and these bikes are apparently not that plentiful anymore.

I found a website that said Schwinn only made this from 1959 to 1962. Also, according to that website, and based on the serial number on this bike, it was built in November of 1959. I also found something about the painted, rather than chrome fenders, were a sign of the older model. This one does not need much restoration as you can see. In fact, to me, it would seem more.
