Vintage 1987 Schwinn Cimarron Mountain Bike

  
This is a 1987 Schwinn Cimarron mountain bike. Its a medium size, and will fit a rider 56 to 59 the best. This bike represents a high-water mark for Schwinn, quality-wise. The cromoly steel frame was made in Japan and the bike is equipped with Shimano Deore XT M730 equipment. It has Biopace chainrings, a Suntour XC Pro seatpost and a San Marco Rolls saddle. The wheels are built with Araya RM-20 rims, and the cassette and chain are in good shape. The ergonomic grips are original, as are the Nitto stem and handlebar. The handlebar creaks a bit (as most sleeved aluminum bars of this era did). The paint is a little dull, and there are scratches a dings from 30 years of use, but the bike is in great shape for its age. The vintage Ritchey tires shown in the pictures are not included. They will be substituted with new WTB Velociraptor tires.
