Vintage 1974 Schwinn Grape Krate 5 Speed Stik-Shift Stingray Atom Drum Restore. This restored Schwinn Grape Krate was never in production, but this bike is a dream. The frame dates to January of 1974 and has been repainted in a beautiful purple/violet color. The purple glitter seat is a reproduction and is in fantastic shape.

The springer front fork is in very good shape with nice "S" bolts. The 5 Speed Stik-Shift is in great shape with a very very small amount of pitting. The stem, handlebars, and crank all date to various Krate years. The chainguard is in fair shape. Be sure to take a look at the "Grape Krate" in the photos to see that the paint for those words were hand painted.

Sissy bar and shocks are in good shape and work as they should. The brake levers and rear brake are correct for vintage Krates.

The front Atom Drum brake is also correct for a vintage Krate and works very nicely. Both the front and rear fenders are reproduction and in good shape. The tires are both reproduction tires as well but are the correct Schwinn Superior in the front and the Slik in the back. Purple streamers and cable housing covering has been added for extra flair and it looks great. This bike has been tuned up and is mechanically sound. Shifting works well along with the brakes.
