Vintage 1972 Schwinn Sports Tourer 10 Speed Steel Touring Bike

  

This is a 1972 Schwinn Sports Tourer bike in excellent condition. Some features include: 10 speeds, bar end shifters, TA Specialities cranks, Viscount Made in England leather saddle, Huret dropouts, Schwinn approved Made in France toe clips and pedals, and new Kenda tires.

Measures 22.5 (57cm) from center of the crank to the center of the top tube. According to Schwinn this is a 24 frame (center of crank to the top of the seat tube). Top bar length is 22.25 center to center. Stand over height is about 32.75.

Overall the bike has seen little use. The paint is excellent with only a few chips here and there, the lettering is almost perfect, and the chrome looks great with some patina on the hardware. Issues: Brake pads are original, pedals are somewhat dirty, the bar tape is coming off in one area and clear Scotch tape was applied, the Viscount leather saddle I believe is not original.
