Vintage 1971 Schwinn Grey Ghost Single Speed Coaster Brake Stingray Krate. Up for grabs is a nicely restored 1971 Schwinn Grey Ghost single speed model with a coaster brake that rolled out of the Schwinn factory in December of'71. This bike is in good shape for its age with a mix of original and non original parts. The frame has been repainted and there are some areas where paint is missing that is shown in the photographs.

Spring front fork is in good shape with "S" bolts. The front fender appears to be a reissue fender. The front tire however appears to be an original Schwinn Superior tire.

The rear tire is a reissue in fantastic shape on the correct tubular S-2 rim. The rear fender appears to be original and is the correct safety edge. The seat is a reissue seat and part of the vinyl has come undone which is shown in the photos. The handlebars have been replaced with reproduction bars.

The stem and cranks are correct for the bike but unoriginal. It does have the correct Grey Ghost specific pedals with clear reflectors.

One of them is cracked, shown in photos. The glitter streamers are old from back in the day and add a great look to the bike. Grips are in great shape.

The chainguard is in good shape but does have a decal as opposed to the original silk screen. This bike has been tuned up and is mechanically sound.
