Vintage 1971 Schwinn Apple Krate Stingray 5 Speed Stik Shift Atom Drum Brake. This is a nicely restored Schwinn Apple Krate that rolled out of the factory in February of 1971 with all the cool vibes and mojo from back in the day. It has the correct Stik-Shift for the year although it is missing part of the decal, otherwise in great shape. It has a Schwinn Stingray Slik rear tire mounted on an S-2 rim. The front tire is a reproduction IHR Schwinn Tubular tire mounted on an S-7 rim. The front Atom Drum brake is in good condition and works well. Frame has been powdercoated but does have a few small chips in the paint that are shown in the photos. Brake levers and rear brake are all correct for the bike as well as the cable housing with a little added candy. The seat is in fantastic condition but is a Schwinn reproduction. Springer front fork is in good condition with Schwinn S bolts.

Sissy bar and shocks are in great shape and work nicely. Rear derailleur and freewheel are correct for the bike. The Mag Crank and chainwheel are in good shape and date to the correct year for this bike.

The stem and handlebars are in good shape. The handlebars also date to the correct year of the bike but the stem was replaced at some point. It is the correct stem for the bike but dates to 1973. The safety edge fenders are in good shape for their age with light wear. Be sure to check out all the photos and feel free to ask any questions you might have. The bike works well mechanically and has been checked over.
