Vintage SKY BLUE 1971 (Model J39-6) Schwinn "DELUXE" Stingray 20 Boy`s Bicycle - Used! It `is` listed as accurately as possible. There are lots of photos and the description is lengthy.. If you have questions I will try to answer as best I can, thanks! I hate to say 100% original...

However, this is about as close as you get to an `all original, survivor` bike... Comes with original 1971 Schwinn Sting-Ray owners manual and NOS flag caps as pictured.

Frame dated HG (August 1971). Fork dated 8+1 (August 1971). Original Sky Blue paint in very good condition with minor scrapes, scratches, etc. And all original screens in great condition.

Chrome is not absolutely perfect but as you can see, it`s very, very nice! Bars have very minor scrapes on top, nice chrome and are dated `71. Crank (dated `71) and sprocket have nice chrome. Chain is clean, original OEM "Union". Rims are 28 spoke Schwinn, both nicely side stamped.

S-2 rear "Schwinn Tubular S-2" and front "Schwinn Tubular S-7". Nice chrome with no major issues and original spokes.

The tubes inside are Schwinn also! Rear hub is the correct, original, Bendix 70 coaster brake. Tire is an original Made in U. " Schwinn 20" x 2.125" THIN LINE "Gripper Slik dated 8-1 (August 1971) and is in excellent condition and holds air fine.

Front hub is Schwinn script, axle is dated Z-71 (1971). " Schwinn 20" x 1 3/4'" THIN LINE "Superior dated 12-1 (December 1971) Was replaced at some point.. And has some cracking around the white line but looks good and holds air fine. Both fenders look excellent (with minor, hard to see flaws) and are the original rolled safety edge style.

Seat is original "Persons" blue glitter with chrome mylar and is in gorgeous, excellent condition with no cuts, etc. Chrome post is original and has the chrome "S" stamped clamp. Clean, full size, blue glitter grips are original and near perfect. Pedals are original `71 `small` reflector marked Made in Germany.

1971 was the first year for reflector pedals and they had `small` reflectors, first white, later to orange after CA passed a new law.. The Schwinn logos have scrapes but are readable and the pedals spin nicely. Everything works smoothly and the rims run straight...

Will need to be cleaned and adjusted upon arrival but a very nice 47 year old bike. It`s a super clean example with no junk parts. Please look at the pictures closely.
