Vintage 1968 Schwinn Orange Krate 5 Speed Stik-Shift Atom Drum Sting Ray Restore. This is a beautifully restored Schwinn Orange Krate that originally rolled out of the factory in April of 1968. This bike is in fabulous condition and is in better shape than some of the bikes in our museum. The bike has been repainted and it looks great. The handlebars, stem, and cranks are not original to the bike along with the seat which is a reproduction seat. Springer front fork is in very good shape.

Chainguard is original silkscreen and has not been replaced with a decal. The 5 Speed Stik-Shift is in immaculate condition.

Brake levers are in good shape along with the rear brake. Cable housing is in good shape and correct for the bike with some cool orange coil over the housing for some extra flair along with the white and orange glitter streamers hanging from the bars with orange handlebar grips.

Schwinn Superior tire on an S-7 rim in the front with a fully functional Atom Drum Brake. Schwinn Wide Tread Slik tire on an S-2 in the rear is in good shape as well minus a little bit of wear on the white of the letters as the tire rubbed against the fender braces. The bike has been fully tuned up and is mechanically sound and the shifting works well.
