1966 Schwinn tandem model T10 in radiant blue. This is the "ladies/ladies" style, which means the top bar for the first seat is angled down, not straight as would be the case in the "men's/ladies" style. It features the original Swiss-made Weinmann center-pull front caliper and the rear coaster brake. The spokes are 105-gauge heavy duty, designed to handle extra weight. The bike weighs about 61 pounds (according to the promotional materials). The size is 26 inches, meaning the tires are 26-inch tires. So, they're technically not "original" to the bike. The seats are comfortable to this day! The other parts that were replaced in 2024 as part of the restoration are the two Bontrager tubes, two Kenda tires, the two chains, a Wald fender bracket, a rim strip, the Wald stem expander bolt and wedge, and finally, the rear Schwinn reflector.

Outside of those essentially maintenance-type items, it's truly a remarkable vintage item. I should note that we put slightly wider tires on than the original so that it rides with extra comfort.

Of course, there are a few spots of rust that I was unable to remove. But none of the rust affects the rideability. Whether you ride this around your property, a movie lot, or your cul-de-sac, this will be a throwback to a simpler time.
