SURVIVOR JUNE 1966 SCHWINN FASTBACK STING-RAY. How often does a bike like this come up?
This was an estate sale find and it's obvious that the kid who had this bike hardly ever rode it. Upon receiving the bike I disassembled it and cleaned and polished every part. The only non original parts on the bike are the brake cables, shifter cable, white plastic sissy bar end caps and the new reproduction Schwinn tires.
I still have the original tires and they will come with the bike. The bike is immaculate and in near mint condition. There are a few things to point out.
There are some very minor scratches on the paint from wear over the years. You probably wouldn't even notice them unless they were pointed out. The seat is in very nice condition.
There isn't even any rash on the bars or sissy bar loop! There is some mild oxidation on the inside of the chrome spoke protector.
I never removed it so it should come off pretty easily if it was taken off. The rear wheel has a slight dimple on the left sidewall. Unsure if it came from the factory that way or not.
Doesn't seem to effect the ride at all. The bike shifts, rides and stops great. THIS IS ALL THE ORIGINAL PAINT, DECALS AND CHROME.
