Schwinn Voyageur 11.8 Vintage Bike Bicycle 1980s chromoly 25 frame

  

This is a classic early 80s Schwinn Voyageur 11.8. The 11.8 was handmade in Japan with excellent craftsmanship. It is lugged 4130 chromoly steel. It has Shimano derailleurs, Dia Compe brakes, an SR stem, super maxy 3 piece crank, and Araya rims.

2 x 5 speed gearing. I believe the components are original to the bike. It shifts nicely with Schwinn approved bar end shifters (I assume they are Shimano).

The frame is 25, for a taller person. It is in very good shape for its age.

The chrome finish looks good. It has new tires and tubes. New cables and bar tape were installed.

It is a nice riding bike even for its age. Rides and handles like a dream, like driving a vintage Cadillac.
