For sale in this listing is an original, unrestored, 1 owner 1968 Schwinn Sting Ray Fastback 3-speed. Meticulously maintained and cleaned--in climate controlled storage since 1978.

S/N MD66693 (December 1968 build date)--built in Chicago. Original decals on frame, fork, and chain guard (yellowed from age--see pictures). Original rear brake and shift cables, front brake cable was replaced in early 70s with genuine Schwinn part.

Excellent chrome on original fenders, handlebars, and rims--minor scratches on top of sissy bar and handlebars--see pictures. New (NOS) OEM rear tire (Schwinn Fastback Slik). Excellent condition OEM front tire (Schwinn Fastback).

Brand new 20 x 1 3/8 tubes. Crank set, headset, front and rear hubs cleaned and lubed. Weinmann side pull hand brakes front and rear w/original red Schwinn brake lever grips.

Please note this is a used, unrestored'survivor' bicycle. It shows typical wear for a 48 year old bike. Paint is chipped/worn on the chain guard and frame in typical wear areas (shift and brake cable contact areas) and there are some minor scratches on the handlebars and seat posts.
