Schwinn classic Paramount , with byzantine'curly' legwork, full braze-ons for mid-fork mounts, fenders and racks, even includes a pump peg and a chain hanger. Waterford Factory Handbuilt - this touring/rando Paramount was built as a personal bike by a factory staff member in the 1980's, hence all the details.

Unique'drizzle' black on semi-fluoro yellow, thick Colnago-like paint. Several paint chips, as will be expected. Cinelli investment-cast bottom bracket, Stronglight headset, Ambrosio rims on Shimano triple drivetrain, currently running Conti 700x28's. Froglegs cx canti brakes, so plenty of clearance for larger tires even with fenders. Very hard-to-find ITM Marathon rando-curve bars are very easy on the hands and wrists after a long day's adventure.

Nicely broken-in (large rivet) Brooks Professional saddle. An ideal bike for a taller (6ft or over) long-distance brevet, rando, audax or touring cyclist - superb comfort and stability, and it just keeps rolling all day asking nothing from the rider.

60.9 cm top tube, seat tube also 60.9 centre-to-top (24). You can ride this today, or do a full restoration if you want to do the'concours' thing. But ride it, because it's the most effortless bike I've ever ridden. I wish I still fit it. So enjoy the road - bonne chance!
