For those in the know, the Paramount was recognized as the premier racing bike of America through the golden age of the 1950s through 1970s. While most Schwinn bikes were mass-produced in factories, the Paramount was hand-made by true frame artisans in Waterford, WI, a shop that continues to build high-quality frames to this day under their own name. This bike was ridden a fair amount for a few years, then retired to the garage where is has hung for many years. It has a patina of minor.
