All the moving parts will be clean. OPTIONALLY, can clean and wax, also can mechanically rebuild With these classic bikes, i like to rebuild them very much, but also know that YOU MAY ALSO PREFER TO HAVE THE PLEASURE of REBUILDING YOURSELF!! Any detailed examination i can perform to your liking. Some examination external , some internal the NEW OWNER will dictate what i do/dont do.

Will guarantee the condition as stated, do not believe is passing bad parts on! I have possessed this bikes since 1990s. Always kept indoors in clean dry rooms where i also keeps boxes of books i import, my bikes are important too!! This is a mix of USA and Japanese made parts, with main frame being USA schwinn. The original bike SEEMS to be a 1976 or 1977 Competition Scrambler Model BX5-6 , but not sure.

Rims are Japanese UKAI 20 x 175 red aluminum, with red spokes. Most adjustments (Dec 2020) are good to great! But i would definitely change grease, and most likely balls too if you are going to ride a lot! Sugino 44t Chainring , Cranks Forged Alum Sugino Maxy 171 mm This was been police cleared when i bought it many years ago, so title is clear!! I rebuild bikes regularly and can tell you all parts tighten and loosen very healthy.

One spoke on non drive side of rear wheel is broken, rim will need to be retrued after its replacement, but not not appear to be dinged nor malformed, but it may be slightly so. If this matters to you, CALL ME! Have other wheels of exact same model for sale, so i can provide a fresher rim if you require so!

UPDATES feb 12, 2021 Cleaned up, no steel abrasives, just water soap oil, non stick pads, cloth. Then lightly renaisance waxed surface. No attenpt to scrape rust yet, (YOU can have the honors) Sometimes it is hard to tell between their pre-paint coat and rust, so will allow the NEW OWNER to have the HONOURS!!! Dismantled handlebar and neck, surface wear exists, but mechanically assembly is very healthy. However, what we have HERE for sale does not have that Catalog fork, this is surely a TUBULAR FORK , even has what seems to be round steel or metallic end caps on bottom of scarred but structurally healthy veteran fork.

Each part here seems to be an upgrade, so probably initially setup just the way it is, or very shortly thereafter. From everything i have taken apart, i see signs of use and adjustment, but no abuse , no hacking around, nothings stripped out, this bike was done right from the start, and that has allowed it to stay around until its rear spoke broke. I got it about 15 to 25 years ago i would estimate. Have always kept it indoors clean and dry. USA T H A N K S F O R R E A D I N G!
