NOS Vintage 1981 Schwinn Mini Sting Old School BMX Chrome Tapered Front Fork

  

A NOS original Schwinn Mini Sting chrome front fork. Schwinn part number 54-314 as shown on the original parts tag attached to the steer tube. This was the stock fork on the Schwinn Mini Sting in the early 1980's. The steer tube measures 5 1/4 inches from the bottom of the fork race to the end of the steer tube.

The fork legs on the fork are tapered toward the bottom. This has the newer style dropouts that are thicker and have the lightening holes drilled higher above the axle mounting hole where the original forks were prone to fail. The fork is in great condition but does have some slight shelf wear on the fork legs and on the original decals. Perfect for a mint original bike or for your best restoration.
