Extremely Rare Vintage bicycle prewar EA Labs Horn Lite light, Not Delta Schwinn

  
Laboratories Horn-Lite in very good condition, complete and in good working order. These prewar accessories generaly change hands privately among collectors. This example is complete with the top ornament (usually missing) and the flexible conduit with the battery tube cap that has the light switch and horn button on it.

This cap with the flexible conduit alone has become very difficult to find, and expensive. You've probably seen a lot of bikes with the Delta Horn-Lite on the bike shows, but how many have you seen with the EA Horn-Lite? Condition: The body has shiny original chorme, NO dents or scratches. It has one small crack (not easy to see) next to the left hand side screw. The aluminum cone is also shiny.

It shows some oxidation (pitting), it has a few superficial scratches and it has one dent at the very tip of the cone. The bezel is straight with no dents.

It has a couple of scratches on top and it shows brass. The base is perfect, no dings, dents, scratches or cracks. Not bad for a 80 plus years old accessory that goes in the front fender. Note: The light switch in the cap didn't work properly when I got it, but I fixed it and now is working good.

Repair is mostly internal so it wouldn't be seen once the cap is placed on a battery tube. The body of the horn-lite has the EA logo on top and below it (difficult to see) it reads a Modern Product from EA Laboratories Inc. EA battery tubes are next to impossible to find but the Cap will fit any Delta or Seiss battery tube. This is much much rarer that the Delta and the condition is very good. So the reserve was placed accordingly.

This is the correct length to reach any battery tube mounted in the frame. This is an accessory that can embellish any bike that uses a fender mounted light like. Shelby, Dayton/Hufman, Columbia, Schwinn, etc. The cap at the end of the cable can be removed to insert the flexible conduit in a frame mounted tank.
