New Quality 1" Threaded 26" Springer Fork : Cool New Import Chrome 26 Springer Fork for Custom, Cruiser, Schwinn, Rat Rod, Vintage, and Chopper Bicycles. Fork is Steel and comes in Color Options: Chrome, Black, Gold, White with Black Head, Black with Chrome head, Chrome Chopper Fork, and 29 Springer Fork, or No Fork for Parts Only. The 26" Fork is to be use with 1" threaded headsets and 26 Wheels or Smaller. The 29" Springer is about 3" longer than 26" springers and can be used with a 29" wheel.

The Classic fork is a New Similar copy of the Old Schwinn Springer Forks and the Chopper Fork is a Unique New Twist with a Custom Look. The Quality is good, although in my opinion not as good as an Original Schwinn Fork, but this is all that's out there today for a Springer Fork.

The fork is the same fork used on Schwinn's produced today (What ever your want to consider the Schwinns of today, Not Chicago Schwinn that's for sure). The Fork has a 1 " Threaded Steer tube and works with 1" or 25.4 mm threaded headsets, the steer tube is approximately 7 5/8" long with about 4" of Threading and takes a 27mm (ID) Inner Diameter Crown Race. The Fork's threaded Steer Tube will fit a variety of of vintage and new cruiser frame head tubes, and will most likely need to be cut down for your application. Correct length for Vintage Postwar Chicago Schwinn with our headset is 7 and Prewar Schwinn can be less. The fork Blade / Legs on the 26" Springer is approximately 14" from the bottom of the pivot tee to axle center, with 1/2 of your 26"wheel is 13" and that gives you 1 clearance for fenders.

The fork Blade / Legs on the 29" Springer is approximately 17" from the bottom of the pivot tee to axle center, with 1/2 of your 29"wheel is 14.5" and that gives you 2+ clearance for fenders. The Forks Do NOT Fit Vintage Schwinn Stingray Bikes with a 4 Frame Head Tube because the Pivot Geometry is for larger head tubes. It will help to assemble dry and is strongly suggested that you use one of our Cruiser Headsets for seamless installation. Vintage Schwinn Headsets Do NOT Work with this Fork, Mainly the Schwinn Crown Race.

We also have 1 id Flat spacers that can be used instead of cutting although this is not the best method. The Fork accepts / uses a 7/8' or 22.2 mm quill stem (Very Common). 1Threaded Cruiser Headset: We Strongly suggest this Headset because it is proven its self in use and compatibility. New Classic Cruiser Head Set 22.2mm x 32.5mm x 27mm available in Chrome, Black, or Gold. That have 1 Threaded Springer Forks.

The Cups fit a Classic Cruiser Head Tube that has a 32.5 mm or 1 9/32" opening "also AKA Cup Diameter. 32.5mm Frame Head tube is Very Common, Fits Most Newer Cruiser & Lowrider Bikes, Vintage Chicago Schwinns - Ballooner - Middle Weight - lightweight- and CWC Cleveland Welding Company made bikes.

DOES NOT work with HP Snyder / Rollfast, Huffman / Huffy, and a Few other Antique Bikes. In rare cases some old bikes may of seen too much excessive use and the head tube is stretched, making the cups a loose fit, in that event a shim may be needed for a tight fit. The top Nut has a 22.2mm or 7/8 opening for stems of that size.

Top cone nut and a washer. The bearings are 15 x 3/16 ball retainers.

The Bottom Crown Race fits Vintage and Newer forks with a 27mm or 1 1/16 race lip. You may Select No Spacers (If You Planing on Cutting Down Your Fork) or a pack of (5x) 1/8 3mm Spacer s to help with spacing. Your Selection will show your Fork Color Choice.
