Chicago All original Complete New World Bicycle serial # E10710. The Schwinn New World was Schwinn's attempt to make a lightweight, roadster type bicycle similar to Raleigh's Sports.
It was produced from 1938 through the early 1950s. The World Traveler model succeeded the New World in the early 1950s and looks similar. While Schwinn's concept did not pan out in terms of adult cycling in America, the idea gave rise to some of the best riding, best-built bicycles of their day.
