New 28" x 1 1/2" Wood Wheel Prewar Cruiser Bicycle Coaster Brake Wheel Set (with Tire, Axle Length, and Skiptooth Cog Option Choices). These New 28 Wheels will help you get your 1896 to 1934 Wood Wheel Bike back on the Road.

This Wheel set is an Inexpensive / Budget Replacement or Second wheel set for your Wheelman Antique 28 TOC Safety Tire Bike. You will have Tire, Front Axle Length, and Cog Choice Options from the Pull down Menu. This is a New 28" x 1 1/2" or 29er Black Import Wheel Set with Coaster Brake and 5/16" Bolt front axle for use with Vintage 28" x 1 1/2 Wood Wheel Bicycles. The rim profile is a trapezoid and approximately 28mm wide and 26mm tall.

The rims are Double walled Alloy 36 hole with a 622 BSD. The Wheels are Laced with black spokes to a Black KT Coaster brake with 3/8" Diameter axle and a Black alloy front hub with a 5/16" Diameter to work with Vintage Bicycles. You will have a choice of axle width of the front 5/16 axle. I would use the full length 140mm Long axle for most all new 29er bicycle applications and the 130mm Short Axle for your Vintage bike for that only has mounting holes in the fork, that require you to pull your fork blades apart to install. If you have vertical slots on your fork the Long option is fine.

The front hub width is approximately 96mm wide and has lock nuts to hold the hub with proper spacing, vintage hubs did not have lock nuts possibly making this a wider hub. You can use it without lock nuts like vintage hubs but that not recommended.

I have given you dimensions so you can figure what works best for you. You have Cog / Sprocket choice options for the Coaster Brake. You Can Choose 18 Tooth Regular, 9 Skiptooth, 10 Skiptooth, and 11 Skiptooth.

Obviously the regular is for 1/2 x 1/8' single speed chains and Skiptooth Option is are for Skiptooth Chains usually found on Vintage and Antique Bikes. I apologize for making Skiptooth Shiptooth in the options, It should be Skiptooth and is Not a Rare type of Pirate Chain! You have the Choice of: No Tires, Cream White Schwalbe Delta Cruiser Tires, Whitewall Schwalbe Road Cruiser Tires, or Black Schwalbe Range Cruiser Tires. All the Tires are High Quality Cruiser Tires that have a Street Tread Pattern for Easy rolling, and have the Puncture Protection System Kevlar®Guard (a protective Kevlar layer that is stronger, safer, more flexible, and smooth rolling with lower resistance).

Tires have Logos on both sides. The Cream Delta Cruiser and Whitewall Road Cruiser Tires are 28" x 1.40" which is a hair smaller than 28"x1.5" Wood Tubular Size Tires (You would be hard pressed to be able to see the difference). Tire Size is 700 x 35 also considered 28" X 1.40" and the ETRTO is 37-622. The Black Range Cruiser are Size is 700 x 38 also considered 28" X 1.50" and the ETRTO is 40-622. Tire Choices will come with rim strips and tubes, Tires May or May Not be mounted but most likely Not since we offer so many options. This Inexpensive 28" Replacement Wheel set for 28"x 1 1/2 Wood Wheel Bicycles. By No means do the Compare to our Amazing Lux Low Custom 28 Wheelsets we Sell. If you really Love your Antique Bike I would strongly Suggest a Custom Built Lux Low Set. If you are on the Tightest of Budgets these will work for Ya, They are Good Wheelsets, they Just Lack a Vintage Flair, Although The Black Looks Pretty Sharp.
