1989 Schwinn Paramount Waterford 62cm Road Bike 700c Columbus SL Vintage
1989 Schwinn Paramount 62cm - Preowned. The legendary Paramount was Schwinn's top of the line road machine. Handbuilt out of Columbus SL tubing in Waterford, WI, the Paramount offers a ride rivaled by few of its contemporaries. The serial number dates this bike as the 12 Paramount built in April of 1989. This specific model is a size 62cm (see geometry below). Its built up with a mix of Shimano Dura Ace and 105 8 speed components, Mavic x Dura Ace wheelset, and Cinelli cockpit. The bike is overall in excellent shape for its age, but does have some marks and wear including paint chips on the top tube, down tube, and stays (see photos). The components are all in working shape but do show some wear and marks. The shifters are a bit gummed up from storage and the tires have some dry rot, so the bike will need to be given a refresh before being fully road worthy.
