1978 SCHWINN BREEZE LADIES 3-SPEED VINTAGE ROAD CRUISER BIKE COLLEGIATE RED. Here is an original April 1978 VINTAGE (serial number is DP) ladies SCHWINN BREEZE 3-speed road cruiser bicycle with 26 wheels. It is in the original and very appealing BRIGHT RED colored factory paint. If you like unique original bikes, this may be a great bike for you. With the insanely high price of gas (and the economy being bad) now is the time to ride a cool vintage bike! This bike has a cool original design ladies frame and forks with original paint and decals, original screen chainguard, Schwinn cruiser style seat, wide cruiser handlebars, Schwinn hand grips, full fenders, and more! These bikes are solid, well built bikes, made in Chicago! They are built to stand the test of time! I believe this bike to be basically all original parts from when it was new. (see pics and be your own judge). The tires are 26x 1 3/8. They are vintage tires and do hold air.

The front is a Schwinn. The rear is a slightly newer replacement. The bike has chrome Schwinn S5 rims front and rear. The bike is an original 3-speed and the gears do operate. This one has hand AND coaster style brakes.

(pedal backwards to stop) This adds a whole new lever of safety vs the standard "freewheel" hub. People LOVE these and you do not see them often on a bike like this! DIMENSIONS: The distance from the floor to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 27. The distance from the center of the crank to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 17 1/2.

The center of the handlebar stem to the center of the seat post is approx 20. The bike will accommodate most any rider comfortably.

The seat height is easy to adjust. NOTED FLAWS It is not 100% flawless but is not bad for its age! The paint looks very respectable for a 45+ year old bike! (may have some chips scratches, etc but has survived better than many that you see) Both wheels have a slight wobble when you spin them. This appears to be a fairly nice original unmolested bicycle unless otherwise noted.

A great bike to ride on relaxing days through the park or to the beach. Also would be a nice item to display in a shop, restaurant, rec room, sports bar, etc. Stand out from the crowd and be the envy of people who see you riding by. People will enjoy seeing you on your vintage bike!

These are getting to be hard to find in any condition and to my knowledge, have not been reproduced. PLEASE NOTE that many of the bikes I list have listed have been in long term storage and have not been regularly ridden in a while. (not a bad thing) They may need standard tuning, greasing, may have old tires, surface rust etc.
