1973 SCHWINN WORLD TRAVELER 10-SPEED ROAD BIKE SUPER SPORT VOYAGEUR 12 VINTAGE! Here is an original 1970s VINTAGE I was told bought new in 1973. The Serial Number is F300490 seems low! Mens SCHWINN "WORLD TRAVELER" 10-speed road touring bicycle with 27 wheels.

It is in the original and VERY VERY UNUSUAL "Mint Green" colored factory paint. If you like BETTER QUALITY vintage original road bikes, this may be a great bike for you. It was always stored inside in a clean dry area. With the insanely high price of gas (and the economy being bad) now is the time to ride a cool vintage bike! This bike has a cool mens lightweight butted tubing frame with original paint and decals, chrome tip forks, unique Schwinn "World" head badge, drop style aluminum handlebars, Schwinn "S" aluminum neck, really unique style aluminum twin stick shifters, vintage road bike seat/saddle, Schwinn derailleur, unique drop reflector rat trap pedals, and more!

I believe this bike to be basically all original parts from when it was new! See pics and be your own judge. I took lots and have nothing to hide!

This one even has dealer installed accessory chrome fenders front and rear! (most of these bikes do not have those and they are a nice option). This bike was bought new locally and has had the same owner since new!

This one is a unique model and I believe was only made for one or 2 years! I did not even see it in the Schwinn catalog. IF you like unique, it doesnt get much more unique than this one!

The tires are 27x1 1/4. They are vintage Schwinn PUFF tires and do hold air.

The bike has chrome non knurled wheels front and rear. The bike is an original 10-SPEED and the gears do operate. The hand controlled brakes are operable as well. (May need adjustment or possible cable replacement) DIMENSIONS The standover height is approx 31 1/4.

The distance from the floor to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 31 1/4. The distance from the center of the crank to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 21. The center of the handlebar stem to the center of the seat post is approx 21 1/2. The bike will accomadate most any rider comfortably.

The seat height is easy to adjust. NOTED FLAWS It is not 100% flawless but has survived relatively well for its age! (see pics) The paint is a VERY unique color! Very happy that it is original paint.

(has some chips scratches etc) The chrome is shiny but is not perfect show quality. (shiny but has pits etc) The bike would look nicer with a serious detailing as it has been in long term storage Both wheels have a slight wobble when you spin them. This appears to be a fairly nice original unmolested bicycle unless otherwise noted. A great bike to ride on relaxing days through the park or to the beach. Also would be a nice item to display in a shop, restaurant, rec room, sports bar, etc.

Stand out from the crowd and be the envy of people who see you riding by. People will enjoy seeing you on your vintage bike! A great classic bike at a great price Why not ride a bike? This may be a great Birthday or other special holiday gift for someone! It is never too soon to think ahead and get someone something they may really like!! These are getting to be hard to find in any condition and to my knowledge, have not been reproduced.
