1973 SCHWINN FASTBACK STINGRAY 5-SPEED MUSCLE BIKE KRATE VINTAGE LEMON PEELER S5. Here is a rare original March 1973 SCHWINN STINGRAY "FASTBACK" 20 BICYCLE! (CJ Serial Number) This bike is from the era when most everything was cool!

The HEMICUDA, Mach 1 Mustang, and Camaro Z-28 come to mind! This is one of the coolest bikes made by Schwinn! They look cool and are great riding bikes! The bike is in the original and very appealing kool "Lemon Yellow" factory painted color. (Popular on the regular Stingray and Lemon Peeler Krate disc bikes but you rarely see a Fastback in this color) The bike has cool wide apehanger handlebars, yellow Schwinn hand grips, chrome fenders front and rear, cool rear sissy bar, Schwinn reflector pedals, and so much more!

I dont know where you would find another like it! The bike is an original 5-speed STICK SHIFT with operable hand controlled brakes. Has the legendary "Stik" shifter! Even has the "overload tube" in place. Has the cool krate "mag" sprocket. The bike shifts and brakes. (will need fine tune adjustment as this one has been in long term storage) The seat is original but has rips. This one has Schwinn S5 rims front and rear. The Schwinn tires hold air!

Rear is a Schwinn Fastback SLIK! This one has the correct ORIGINAL SCREEN 5-speed chainguard. (would look nice with a fresh decal) I believe this bike to be mostly original parts from when it was new. (See pics and be your own expert). My brother has a bike like this he bought 10+ years ago!

You RARELY find these bikes anymore! They were all abused and thrown away back in the 1970s-80s.

Finding one these days is a big challenge. They are very cool and people enjoy owning, riding, and displaying them! Most people do not sell these bikes once they have them. Be the first to get this bike back out in the light and have fun with it! I believe this to be a fairly nice original unmolested bicycle unless otherwise noted.

A great bike to display, ride and enjoy, or restore. Would also be a great source of parts for your Schwinn Fastback boys bicycle! (would be a shame to see this used for parts but the choice is yours) You do not see these often! A great way to round out your collection or to start one!

I found this bike in a basement in CHICAGO IL USA just a couple blocks from where the original Schwinn factory was! I believe it has been in Chicago since new! NOTED FLAWS It is not 100% flawless but is ok for a 45+ year old boys bike! I LOVE original paint but has obvious chips scratches wear etc. The chrome is shiney but is not perfect show quality.

Both wheels have a slight wobble when you spin them. (most every used bike out there seems to) These bikes rarely come along! Would need a resto for show or enjoy it in its current patina.

Finding one that has been in long term storage is a rare find these days! I took lots of pics and have nothing to hide.

Please look closely for exact condition. This is a cool bike in the RIGHT color! The Fastback bikes ride much nicer than the cool KRATE bikes!

Keep in mind this is a vintage bike that has probably not been ridden for a while so it may need minor tuning, bearings greased, polishing, etc, These bikes are getting harder to find and are more popular than ever before!
