1971 SCHWINN SUPER SPORT LEMON YELLOW KRATE 10-SPEED ROAD BICYCLE LADIES BROOKS. Here is an original October 1971 VINTAGE (serial number is KG) SCHWINN SUPER SPORT 10-speed road bicycle with 27 wheels. It is in the original and very appealing KOOL LEMON YELLOW colored factory paint. (these bikes and the disc Lemon Peeler Krate Stingray bikes shared this color, people love it and you rarely see it on a bike like this) If you like cool unrestored original bikes, this may be a great bike for you.

With the insanely high price of gas (and the economy being bad) now is the time to ride a cool vintage bike! This bike has a cool high quality mens lightweight chrome molybdenum road bike style frame and forks with original paint and decals, (I believe these were hand made) Schwinn Chicago head badge, drop style aluminum handlebars with matching yellow handlebars tape, aluminum "S" (Schwinn) neck, center pull brakes, twin stick shifters, old leather racing seat/saddle, chrome kickstand and seat post clamp, and more!

This one even has cool accessory FENDERS front and rear! I believe this bike to be basically all original parts from when it was new. See pics and be your own judge.

I took lots and have nothing to hide! A great bike to display, ride and enjoy, or use for its hard to find parts. (would be a shame to do though) They did not make a lot of these and they are not easy to find! The tires are 27x1 1/4.

They are vintage tires and do hold air. The front is a Schwinn. The rear is a slightly newer replacement. The bike has lightweight aluminum rims front and rear with QUICK RELEASE front and rear hubs. The bike is an original TEN SPEED and the gears do operate.

The hand controlled brakes are operable as well. (May need adjustment or possible cable replacement) DIMENSIONS The standover height is approx 31. The distance from the floor to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 31 3/4. The distance from the center of the crank to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 22 1/2. The center of the handlebar stem to the center of the seat post is approx 21 3/4.

The bike will accomadate most any rider comfortably. The seat height is easy to adjust. NOTED FLAWS It is not 100% flawless but is ok for its age! The paint looks ok for a 40+ year old bike! (has lots of paint chips and the paint has been touched up in places) The chrome is shiney but is not perfect show quality.

Both wheels have a slight wobble when you spin them. (most every used bike out there seems to) The FRONT wheel should be trued as it has a wobble when you spin it. Great to display with your mens Super Sport, Voyageur, Paramount etc! This appears to be a fairly nice original unmolested bicycle unless otherwise noted. A great bike to ride on relaxing days through the park or to the beach.

Also would be a nice item to display in a shop, restaurant, rec room, sports bar, etc. Stand out from the crowd and be the envy of people who see you riding by. People will enjoy seeing you on your vintage bike! A great classic bike at a great price Why not ride a bike? If you are looking for a fun bike to ride and enjoy this may be it! A nice bike to cruise the beach or your local park! Priced way less than a dime store bike that wont be around 5 years from now, much less 30+ years like this one! They are more popular now than ever before! This may be a great Birthday or other special holiday gift for someone! It is never too soon to think ahead and get someone something they may really like!! These are getting to be hard to find in any condition and to my knowledge, have not been reproduced. PLEASE NOTE that many of the bikes I list have listed have been in long term storage and have not been regularly ridden in a while.

(not a bad thing) They may need standard tuning, greasing, may have old tires, surface rust etc. I try to be as honest as possible and never want to disappoint anyone.
