1970 SCHWINN FASTBACK STINGRAY 5-SPEED MUSCLE BIKE KRATE VINTAGE CAMPUS GREEN S5. Here is a rare original DECEMBER 1970 SCHWINN STINGRAY "FASTBACK" 20 BICYCLE! This bike is from the era when most everything was cool! The HEMICUDA, Mach 1 Mustang, and Camaro Z-28 come to mind! This is one of the coolest bikes made by Schwinn! They look cool and are great riding bikes! The bike is in the original and very appealing "Campus Green" factory painted color. (Popular on the regular Stingray and Pea Picker Krate bikes) The bike has cool wide apehanger handlebars, green Schwinn hand grips, cool rear sissy bar, Schwinn pedals, chrome front and rear fenders, (have dents) and so much more! I dont know where you would find another like it! The bike is an original 3-speed STICK SHIFT with hand controlled brakes.

Has the cool 3-speed "mag" sprocket in place. Has the legendary STICK SHIFTER in place on the top bar!

(no overload tube) This one has has Schwinn S5 front chrome rim and a Schwinn S5 Schwinn 3-speed rear. The tires are vintage and do hold air. I LOVE the rear Schwinn SLIK tire! The front is a slightly newer replacement. This one has the correct ORIGINAL 3-speed chainguard.

(has a fresh decal) Has the original Schwinn Stingray banana seat in place. (has the Stingray rear tag, looks cool but has some rips) The bike shifts and the hand brakes are operable.

(could use standard adjustment or possible cable replacement). A cool bike found locally recently that has not been owned by collectors! These bikes are great and I hope you enjoy it!

You RARELY find these bikes anymore! They were all abused and thrown away back in the 1970s-80s. Finding one these days is a big challenge. They are very cool and people enjoy owning, riding, and displaying them! Most people do not sell these bikes once they have them.

Be the first to get this bike back out in the light and have fun with it! I believe this to be a fairly nice original unmolested bicycle unless otherwise noted. These "undiscovered" bikes are FEW and far between these days. Would be a fun bike to make into a rider and enjoy it in its current patina!

THIS ONE IS PRICED RIGHT but is far from perfect. I TOOK MANY PICS and have nothing to hide! These are a good investment that keep going up in value!

NOTED FLAWS I got this one basically just like you see it. This one was recently removed from very long term storage and cannot wait to be enjoyed once again! I LOVE original paint but has obvious chips scratches etc. (see pics) The chrome is shiny but is perfect show quality.

(see pics) Both wheels have a slight wobble when you spin them. (most every used bike out there seems to). FAST BACK Schwinn Stingrays are the arguably the BEST riding Stingray bikes! Finding one that has been in long term storage is a rare find these days! I took lots of pics and have nothing to hide. Please look closely for exact condition. This is a cool bike in the RIGHT color! The Fastback bikes ride much nicer than the cool KRATE bikes! (they look awesome but these ride much better) I hope you enjoy this! These do not come along often!

TAKE GOOD CARE OF IT AND THIS WILL ONLY GO UP IN VALUE! Sorry for the LONG description, these bikes really excite me. People will ENVY you when you ride by at a car show or on the street with this bike! I try to list anything I notice with the bike. Keep in mind this is a vintage bike that has probably not been ridden for a while so it may need minor tuning, bearings greased, polishing, etc, These bikes are getting harder to find and are more popular than ever before!

You will enjoy owning, riding, and displaying it for years! People always remember these bikes but seldom see them in person. I take them in to have them packaged so they almost always arrive in the same condition as they left us. Fed Ex just increased the rates.
