SCHWINN 1969 VINTAGE BICYCLE COPPER KRATE 5 Speed BIKE Disc Brakes Coppertone. Here is your chance to own a one of a kind custom copper krate original schwinn bicycle. Amazing candy powdercoating sparkles like diamonds in the sun, rare copper seat also sparkles bright. Powdercoating is in great shape except one small surface scuff on bottom of frame see pics. Disc brake and neck has been rechromed. Fenders are from a 99 krate. Disc brake is 1972 and i just had it respoked with the rare schwinn S spokes look at pics 7 and 8 and you will see the S on the ends of the spokes. Has rare 1966 flat shifter handle.

Shifts very nice rides like a dream , disc brake and front drum brake , speedometer and schwinn pumpkin headlight all work great. Some light peppering on rear rim. None of the chrome is perfect see pics there is light peppering on a lot of it but still polishes up very nice.

Pedals have a lot of rust. Complete bike could be repainted or powdercoated and turned into any krate you like but personally i think the copper looks amazing.

Almost all parts are vintage original schwinn most are correct but some are 1972. If you know schwinns you can tell by the pics these are original schwinn parts. Handlebars chrome is faded and has some road rash by the levers. The pics dont do the powdercoating justice, this is a two stage candy powdercoat job, the sparkle in it and tones of orange yellow and copper look phenomenal in the sun.
