1968 SCHWINN "MINI TWINN" STINGRAY TANDEM 2-PERSON BIKE VINTAGE BICYCLE S7 RARE! Here is an original APRIL 1968 VINTAGE (serial number is DD) Schwinn "MINI TWINN" tandem/2-person bicycle with 20 wheels. It is in the original and very appealing CAMPUS GREEN colored factory paint.

If you like HARD TO FIND vintage original tandem bikes, this may be a great bike for you. These bikes were made for ONE YEAR ONLY in 1968! I was TOLD there was somewhere around 450 of these made.

I cant verify for sure but this is what I was told. I cant imagine how many of these can be left in the world. With the insanely high price of gas (and the economy being bad) now is the time to ride a cool vintage bike! I always heard that a good majority of these were bought new and rented out years ago on Mackinac Island, Michigan.

This is a vacation place where you can only walk and no cars are allowed on the island. I guess there are a few left on the island today that can still be rented. I have been collecting Schwinn Stingray bikes for around 15 years and this is only the SECOND one of these I have ever had! I hope you can enjoy and appreciate this one for the sheer coolness factor and overall rarity of it!

It has WIDE apehanger handlebars on the front, WIDE tandem handlebars on the rear with the correct rear handlebars mount, cool seats front and rear. The rear seat is the original Stingray rear seat with the Stingray tag in place. (worn at the tip) The front is a smaller seat with a cool crashrail.

Could recover it with the correct material and would look fine It has Schwinn grips, Schwinn pedals front and rear, (have wear) cool Schwinn "MINI TWINN" original screen chainguard, and more! Everything about this bike is cool and I hope you love it! These RARELY come along in any condition! Tandem bikes are SO MUCH FUN! You and your sweetie can enjoy a ride through the park together!

Also a great way to take a younger person for an enjoyable ride! A fun activity for you and your best friend!!!

Would even make the COOLEST gift for that Newlywed couple! My daughter and I rode this one a few times this summer and it was some very nice "quality time" spent together! The front tire is a rare whitewall Schwinn Westwind 20x1 3/4. The rear is a 20x2.125 Schwinn Stingray slik WHITEWALL tire! See 2nd last pic These tires are very desirable and look fantastic for display!

Both tires do hold air. The bike has chrome Schwinn S-7 front rim and a double knurled Schwinn S-2 rim rear with a Bendix hub.

I BELIEVE this bike to be NEARLY 100% ORIGINAL parts from when it was new! (see pics and be your own judge). The bike is an original SINGLE SPEED with coaster style brakes. (pedal backwards slightly to stop the bike) This bike is so unique! IF YOU EVER think you would like to own one of these DONT MISS OUT!!!

NOTED FLAWS It is not 100% flawless but is not bad! The paint is original and looks respectable for a 50+ year old bike! (it does have chips, scratches, top bar paint wear, etc) It has survived better than many and thankfully has not been repainted!

The chrome is shiny but is not perfect show quality. (chrome shows age, see pics) Both wheels have a slight wobble when you spin them. (most every used bike out there seems to) These bikes are OVER THE TOP COOL and almost never come up for sale! I hope you can see the beauty in this one! I sincerely hope someone out there can truly appreciate this bike!

You see newer Schwinn tandem bikes sometimes but almost never see these! You will have the COOLEST vintage bike on the block! (or maybe even in your city). This appears to be a fairly nice original unmolested bicycle unless otherwise noted.

A great bike to ride on relaxing days through the park or to the beach. Also would be a nice item to display in a shop, restaurant, rec room, sports bar, etc.

Stand out from the crowd and be the envy of people who see you riding by. People will enjoy seeing you on your vintage bike! A great classic bike at a great price Why not ride a bike?

It is never too soon to think ahead and get someone something they may really like!! These are getting to be hard to find in any condition and to my knowledge, have not been reproduced. PLEASE NOTE that many of the bikes I list have listed have been in long term storage and have not been regularly ridden in a while. (not a bad thing) They may need standard tuning, greasing, may have old tires, surface rust etc.
