1962 SCHWINN TYPHOON STRAIGHTBAR MENS BICYCLE VINTAGE TORNADO S7 AMERICAN TIGER! Here is an original VINTAGE I believe made May 4th 1962. The serial number is E217419 men's Schwinn Typhoon double STRAIGHT BAR beach cruiser bicycle with 26 wheels. It is in the original and very appealing BLACK colored factory paint. If you like unique hard to find original bikes, this may be a great bike for you.

With the insanely high price of gas (and the economy being bad) now is the time to ride a cool vintage bike! This bike has a cool mens double STRAIGHTBAR cruiser style frame and forks with original paint and decals, Schwinn head badge, original Schwinn chainguard, (has a fresh decal) Schwinn cruiser style seat, Schwinn pedals, wide cruiser handlebars, Schwinn hand grips, full fenders, and more!

This double straightbar frame is so cool! They only made it for a couple years and people REALLY like them! They did the Typhoon, Tornado, Skipper, Flying Star, Skipper, and American. You do not see them for sale very often! I hope you enjoy it!

IF YOU WANT TO GET TECHINICAL, this has the frame that has a more "flowing design" vs the double straightbar that ends abruptly. (see pics) The tires are 26x1 3/4. They are vintage Schwinn tires and do hold air. The bike has factory painted and pinstriped Schwinn S-7 rims front and rear with a Bendix rear hub.

Rims do have some surface rust etc which is very common. They will clean up much better with muratic acid. KNOW the safe process before you attempt The bike is an original single speed with coaster brakes.

(pedal slightly backwards slightly to stop the bike) DIMENSIONS The stand over height is approx 30 1/2. The distance from the floor to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 28. The distance from the center of the crank to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 18 1/2. The center of the handlebar stem to the center of the seat post is approx 22. The bike will accommodate most any rider comfortably.

The seat height is easy to adjust. NOTED FLAWS It is not 100% flawless but is ok bad for its age! I LOVE the fact that this one still wears its original paint! The paint looks respectable for a 55+ year old bike! Has chips scratches age etc but is a cool color!

The chrome is shiney but is not perfect show quality. Both wheels have a slight wobble when you spin them. (most every used bike out there seems to) The bike has a cool patina that people love or restore it! These bikes are cool and don't come along often! This appears to be a fairly nice original unmolested bicycle unless otherwise noted.

A great bike to ride on relaxing days through the park or to the beach. Also would be a nice item to display in a shop, restaurant, rec room, sports bar, etc. Stand out from the crowd and be the envy of people who see you riding by.

People will enjoy seeing you on your vintage bike! A great classic bike at a great price Why not ride a bike? If you are looking for a fun bike to ride and enjoy this may be it!
