1962 SCHWINN TORNADO STRAIGHTBAR MENS BICYCLE RED VINTAGE TYPHOON S7 AMERICAN 60. Here is an original VINTAGE I believe made April 4th 1961. The serial number is D113210 men's Schwinn Tornado double STRAIGHT BAR beach cruiser bicycle with 26 wheels. It is in cool original red Schwinn paint! With the insanely high price of gas (and the economy being bad) now is the time to ride a cool vintage bike!

This bike has a cool mens STRAIGHTBAR cruiser style frame and forks with original paint and decals, (Love the original factory pinstriping) Schwinn head badge, original screen Schwinn chainguard, Schwinn cruiser style seat, wide cruiser handlebars, Schwinn hand grips, full fenders, (people love factory color matched fenders) front carrier RACK, and more! I believe this bike to be basically all original parts from when it was new. (see pics and be your own judge). This double straightbar frame is so cool! They only made it for a couple years and people REALLY like them!

They did the Typhoon, Tornado, Skipper, Flying Star, Skipper, and American. You do not see them for sale very often! I hope you enjoy it! The tires are 26x1 3/4.

They are vintage Schwinn tires and do hold air. The bike has factory painted and pinstriped Schwinn S-7 rims front and rear with a Bendix rear hub. (rim surface shows age but has survived better than many that you see) The bike is an original single speed with coaster brakes. (pedal slightly backwards slightly to stop the bike) DIMENSIONS The stand over height is approx 31.

The distance from the floor to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 28 1/4. The distance from the center of the crank to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 18 1/2. The center of the handlebar stem to the center of the seat post is approx 22.

The bike will accommodate most any rider comfortably. The seat height is easy to adjust. NOTED FLAWS It is not 100% flawless but is not bad for its age! The paint is original but has chips scratches etc. The chrome is shiney but is not perfect show quality.

Both wheels have a slight wobble when you spin them. (every used bike out there seems to) Note, the forks appear to be slightly tweaked in the pics but I dont recall that in person. Maybe they were at slightly turned? See pics and be your own judge It rides nicely!

These bikes are cool and don't come along often! This appears to be a fairly nice original unmolested bicycle unless otherwise noted.

A great bike to ride on relaxing days through the park or to the beach. Also would be a nice item to display in a shop, restaurant, rec room, sports bar, etc. Stand out from the crowd and be the envy of people who see you riding by. People will enjoy seeing you on your vintage bike! A great classic bike at a great price Why not ride a bike?
