1962 SCHWINN DELUXE AMERICAN MENS TANK BICYCLE VINTAGE TYPHOON CRUISER BLUE S7! Here is an original 1962 VINTAGE I believe made Jan 12th 1962. The serial number is A214113 men's Schwinn "Deluxe American" bicycle with 26 wheels. It is in the original and very appealing RADIANT BLUE colored factory paint.

If you like fairly clean RARE original bikes, this may be a great bike for you. With the insanely high price of gas (and the economy being bad) now is the time to ride a cool vintage bike!

This is a top of the line bike of the time! I BELIEVE this bike to be nearly 100% original parts from when it was new!

The bike has a cool cantalever style frame, cool chrome frame mounted slimline HORN TANK, (horn is untested, chrome is not great on the rh side) wide fenders, front fender mounted SCHWINN "S" headlight, (works) wide cruiser style handlebars, blue Schwinn "S" seat, "AS" Arnold Schwinn seat post clamp, deluxe rear carrier RACK, cool pedals, and much more!

Check out the unique and cool original "reverse screen" chainguard! I LOVE these bikes and have one in my own personal collection for the past 10+ years! The "American" bikes are cool as they were claimed by Schwinn to be "100% Made in USA" bikes!

Go find a bike made like that today! The tires are 26x1 3/4. They are slightly newer replacement tires and do hold air. The bike has chrome Schwinn S-7 rims front and rear with a Bendix rear hub. The bike is an original SINGLE SPEED with coaster brakes.

(pedal slightly backwards to stop the bike) DIMENSIONS The stand over height is approx 30 1/2. The distance from the floor to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 28. The distance from the center of the crank to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 18 1/2.

The center of the handlebar stem to the center of the seat post is approx 21 3/4. The bike will accommodate most any rider comfortably.

The seat height is easy to adjust. NOTED FLAWS It is not 100% flawless but is relatively nice for its age.

The paint looks fairly good for a 50+ year old bike! (has some chips and scratches but looks respectable for its age) The tank has chrome pitting on the rh side. He chrome is shiney but is not perfect show quality. Both wheels have a slight wobble when you spin them. (most every used bike out there seems to) This is a very cool bike and I hope you love it!

This appears to be a fairly nice original unmolested bicycle unless otherwise noted. A great bike to ride on relaxing days through the park or to the beach. Also would be a nice item to display in a shop, restaurant, rec room, sports bar, etc. Stand out from the crowd and be the envy of people who see you riding by.
