1962 SCHWINN CORVETTE MENS 2-SPEED CRUISER BICYCLE VINTAGE TYPHOON JAGUAR S7 50S. COOLEST "RAT ROD" bike ever! Here is an original VINTAGE i BELIEVE October 22nd 1962.

The serial number is K247707 mens Schwinn CORVETTE beach cruiser bicycle with 26 wheels. (model F17) It is in the original and very appealing dark red colored factory paint.

Whats left of the paint anyway! If you like UNIQUE original bikes, this may be a great bike for you. With the insanely high price of gas (and the economy being bad) now is the time to ride a cool vintage bike!

This bike was named after the legendary Chevy Corvette! Every kid wanted a bike like this, few were lucky enough to get one! Car theme bikes are the coolest! I have a Corvette bike in my own personal collection! If the vintage Schwinn website is correct on its info, this is one of the earlier Schwinn Corvette bikes. (see pics and be your own expert).

This bike has a cool mens cruiser style frame with original paint and decals, (has a cool "ghost" graphics look on the frame) deluxe chainguard, cool old cruiser style seat, wide cruiser handlebars, newer white hand grips, full STAINLESS STEEL fenders, (have dents) bow pedals, front carrier rack mount, and more! The tires are 26x1 3/4.

They are vintage tires and do hold air. The front is a Schwinn Westwind. The rear is a slightly newer replacement. The bike has chrome Schwinn S-7 rims front and rear and a Bendix rear hub. The bike is an original TWO-SPEED "kickback" with coaster brakes. Pedal slightly backwards to stop the bike. The gears shift and brakes work but the hub is noisy DIMENSIONS The standover height is approx 30 1/2. The distance from the floor to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 27 3/4. The distance from the center of the crank to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 18 1/2. The center of the handlebar stem to the center of the seat post is approx 22. The bike will accommodate most any rider comfortably.

The seat height is easy to adjust. NOTED FLAWS This one has been in LONG term storage and cannot wait to be enjoyed once again. Restore it or have fun with it in its unrestored "rat rod" type patina.

The paint is original but rough. (some people REALLY like the look and actually pay to have it recreated) The chrome is shiney but is not perfect show quality. Both wheels have a slight wobble when you spin them. (most every used bike out there seems to) Forks may be slightly tweaked backwards. (hard to tell, see pics) There is a small rust hole by the valve stem of the rear wheel. Its not going to fall apart but I like to be honest. See close up pic Would be cool to display with your 1950s-1960s Chevrolet or any other vintage car or truck. This appears to be a fairly nice original unmolested bicycle unless otherwise noted. A great bike to ride on relaxing days through the park or to the beach. Also would be a nice item to display in a shop, restaurant, rec room, sports bar, etc. Stand out from the crowd and be the envy of people who see you riding by. People will enjoy seeing you on your vintage bike! A great classic bike at a great price Why not ride a bike?
