1958 Schwinn Phantom K813112 Unrestored Original Paint Genuine Vintage Red 58

  

This is a 1958 Schwinn Red Phantom. This is the metallic red available that year and has the original paint. This is one of the nicest original Phantoms I have seen. I have only used it for local parades and I recently did an 18 mile local Roll and Stroll where I was the only one there on a vintage bike. The last photo is at that event.

The coaster brake does not stop perfectly but it still does the job. I believe the chain was replaced by the previous owner. The previous owner said he replaced the handlebars. When I got it the original kickstand was bent and it had an incorrect seat.

The paint on the chain guard and rear rack has a small amount of older touch up here and there as well as some small chips and wear. The decals are original and are somewhat faded.

The fenders are original and have some dings and dents as well as slight pitting and patina. I have never put batteries in the horn or headlight. This is a very nice unrestored bike but not perfect. I was putting together a collection of every color Phantom and this was the nicest metallic Red Phantom I could find. The Schwinn ID Number on this bike is K813112.
