1956 SCHWINN FLYING STAR VINTAGE TANK BICYCLE RAT ROD TYPHOON DELUXE TORNADO S7! Here is an original 1956 VINTAGE I believe SEPT 1956. The serial number is M22948 mens SCHWINN FLYING STAR beach cruiser bicycle with 26 wheels. This has the cool straight bar (Panther style) frame which people love! You rarely see these in any condition.

With the insanely high price of gas (and the economy being bad) now is the time to ride a cool vintage bike! This bike has some super cool features you do not see often on vintage Schwinn bikes! This bike has a cool mens straight bar cruiser style frame and forks with original paint and decals, large Schwinn head badge, super cool original screen chainguard with stars, old cruiser style seat, (needs resto) wide cruiser handlebars, Schwinn script hand grips, full fenders, front carrier RACK, and more! I believe this bike to be mostly original parts from when it was new!

(see pics and be your own judge) This series of bike is really cool and you rarely see them in any condition! This bike would be fun to restore or would make a great unrestored "rat rod" type rider. The tires are 26x1 3/4.

They are vintage tires and do hold air. The bike has Schwinn S-7 rims front and rear with a Bendix Aviation rear hub.

The bike is an original Bendix lever shift 2-speed but seems to operate as a SINGLE SPEED with coaster brakes. (pedal slightly backwards to stop the bike) DIMENSIONS The stand over height is approx 30 1/2. The distance from the floor to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 27 1/2. The distance from the center of the crank to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 18 1/2.

The center of the handlebar stem to the center of the seat post is approx 22. The bike will accommodate most any rider comfortably. The seat height is easy to adjust. NOTED FLAWS I got this one just like you see it. It has been in very long term storage and would need a complete restoration from top to bottom for show. Or enjoy it in its current unrestored patina! Consider it a "fixer upper". I LOVE the fact that this bike still wears its COOL original paint! Chrome shows age and wear. Rear wobble has a wobble when you spin it and is missing a spoke. NOT trying to nit pick this cool bike, just like to be honest. With some TLC, you will have a super cool, hard to find bike, at a great price. This is an unusual model and you almost NEVER see them in any condition! This appears to be a fairly nice original unmolested bicycle unless otherwise noted. A great bike to ride on relaxing days through the park or to the beach. Also would be a nice item to display in a shop, restaurant, rec room, sports bar, etc. Stand out from the crowd and be the envy of people who see you riding by.
