1956 SCHWINN CORVETTE MENS VINTAGE CRUISER BICYCLE RED TYPHOON AMERICAN TIGER! Here is an original 1956 VINTAGE I BELIEVE made Feb 1956. The serial number is U93157 men's SCHWINN CORVETTE (model F-17) beach cruiser bicycle with 26 wheels. This bike was recently removed from VERY long term storage If you like UNIQUE unrestored original bikes, this may be a great bike for you. With the insanely high price of gas (and the economy being bad) now is the time to ride a cool vintage bike!

This bike has a cool mens cruiser style frame and forks with original paint and decals, large Schwinn head badge, original Schwinn hockey stick chainguard, (would look nice with a fresh decal) Schwinn CRASH RAIL cruiser style seat, (shows age) wide cruiser handlebars, Schwinn script hand grips, full Stainless Steel fenders, Schwinn bow pedals, aluminum front carrier rack, (missing one bar) and more! I believe this bike to be basically all original parts from when it was new. (see pics and be your own judge).

The Schwinn Corvette is one of the most legendary Schwinn bikes of all time! Names after the iconic Chevrolet Corvette of the 1950s! Every kid wanted one, few were lucky enough to get one! Have fun with this or display it next to your Corvette Stingray! BONUS, this is the FIRST YEAR of production of this legendary bicycle!

I have not seen one of these in a really long time! The tires are 26x1 3/4. They are vintage Schwinn Superior white striped tires and do hold air.

The bike has factory chrome Schwinn S-7 rims front and rear with a New Departure rear hub! (thought that was unusual to see on a Corvette).

The bike is an original SINGLE SPEED with coaster brakes. (pedal slightly backwards to stop the bike) DIMENSIONS The stand over height is approx 30 1/2. The distance from the floor to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 28. The distance from the center of the crank to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 18 1/2.

The center of the handlebar stem to the center of the seat post is approx 22. The bike will accommodate most any rider comfortably. The seat height is easy to adjust. NOTED FLAWS I got this one just like you see it.

Was recently rescued from long term storage. It would need a total resto for show or have fun with it in its current unrestored type patina. The chrome is shiney but is not perfect show quality. (would need resto for show) Chrome is nicer on the front wheel than the rear wheel.

Both wheels have a slight wobble when you spin them. (most every used bike out there seems to). I love the middleweight series of Schwinn bikes of this era! (Jaguar, American, Panther, Skipper, Hollywood, Tiger, Speedster, etc). This appears to be a fairly nice original unmolested bicycle unless otherwise noted.

A great bike to ride on relaxing days through the park or to the beach. Also would be a nice item to display in a shop, restaurant, rec room, sports bar, etc. Stand out from the crowd and be the envy of people who see you riding by.
