1953 SCHWINN PANTHER MENS STRAIGHTBAR TANK BICYCLE VINTAGE PHANTOM HORNET S2. Here is an original VINTAGE I believe August 1953. K89694 serial number men's SCHWINN PANTHER STRAIGHTBAR beach cruiser bicycle with 26 wheels. It is 2-tone BLACK and RED and looks awesome!

If you like unique TOP OF THE LINE vintage/antique Schwinn bikes, this may be a great bike for you. To me, this bike is absolutely AMAZING and they almost never come along like this!

With the insanely high price of gas (and the economy being bad) now is the time to ride a cool vintage bike! This bike has a cool mens straight bar Panther cruiser style frame, (it is repainted and I think looks awesome) cool locking SPRINGER front forks with AS bolts and key, frame mounted straight bar horn TANK, (horn is untested) DELUXE Panther chainguard, large Schwinn head badge, super cool cruiser style seat, (shows some age but is a great look) "AS" (Arnold Schwinn) seat post clamp, wide cruiser handlebars, Schwinn script hand grips, full fenders with original Phantom style "TRAIN" headlight, (untested) SKIPTOOTH chain and sprockets, chrome kickstand, cool PERSONS SUPREME pedals, 9 hole rear carrier RACK, and more!

I rode this bike for miles and it is an EXCELLENT smooth rider! It really turns some heads!

It looks great whether you ride it or display it! Bikes this cool rarely come along. I hope you love it!

The tires are 26x2.125. They are newer replacement WIDE WHITEWALL tires and do hold air. The rear is a Schwinn Westwind. The bike has factory chrome Schwinn S-2 rims front and rear with a NEW DEPARTURE rear hub. The bike is an original SINGLE SPEED with coaster brakes. (pedal slightly backwards to stop the bike) DIMENSIONS The stand over height is approx 31. The distance from the floor to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 28 1/2. The distance from the center of the crank to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 18 1/2. The center of the handlebar stem to the center of the seat post is approx 22. The bike will accommodate most any rider comfortably. The seat height is easy to adjust. NOTED FLAWS It is not 100% flawless but is relatively nice considering its age compared to most!

The bike was repainted and I think looks nice! (see pics and be your own judge) The chrome is shiney but is not perfect show quality. (would need resto for show or its a great look just like it is) Both wheels have a slight wobble when you spin them.

(most every used bike out there seems to). I got this one just like you see it. I believe it would have been born with a Delta Rocket Ray headlight vs a train light.

(previous owner liked this style better) This is a much harder bike to find than a Black Phantom or a Krate bike. I got this one basically just like you see it. I took lots of pics, I have nothing to hide. This appears to be a fairly nice original unmolested bicycle unless otherwise noted.

A great bike to ride on relaxing days through the park or to the beach. Also would be a nice item to display in a shop, restaurant, rec room, sports bar, etc. Stand out from the crowd and be the envy of people who see you riding by. People will enjoy seeing you on your vintage bike! A great classic bike at a great price. Why not ride a bike? If you are looking for a fun bike to ride and enjoy this may be it! A nice bike to cruise the beach or your local park! Priced way less than a dime store bike that wont be around 5 years from now, much less 30+ years like this one! It is never too soon to think ahead and get someone something they may really like!! These are getting to be hard to find in any condition and to my knowledge, have not been reproduced. PLEASE NOTE that many of the bikes I list have listed have been in long term storage and have not been regularly ridden in a while. (not a bad thing) They may need standard tuning, greasing, may have old tires, surface rust etc.
