Here is an original 1952 VINTAGE I BELIEVE made Marach 1952. The serial number is B68405 and is stamped on the bottom of the cranks housing men's Schwinn straight bar HORNET balloon tire beach cruiser bicycle with 26 wheels. If you like hard to find original USA Made vintage bikes, this may be a great bike for you. With the insanely high price of gas (and the economy being bad) now is the time to ride a cool vintage bike!

This bike has a cool mens cruiser Hornet straight bar frame with original paint and decals, original TANK with horn inside, (untested) front SPRINGER fork with "AS" (Arnold Schwinn) bolts, locking... But no key cool large Schwinn head badge, Schwinn whizzer feather style chainguard, original "sweetheart" sprocket, skiptooth chain, cool cruiser style seat, "AS" (Arnold Schwinn) seat post clamp, wide cruiser handlebars, Schwinn script vintage hand grips, full fenders, cool vintage pedals, and more! The tires are 26x2.125. They are vintage Schwinn WESTWIND balloon tires and do hold air! The bike has factory painted and pinstriped S-2 wheels. The bike is a single speed with operable coaster style brakes. (pedal backwards slightly to stop). This is a cool looking, great riding vintage Chicago USA made Schwinn! This was near TOP OF THE LINE of the time!

Many people actually like these bikes with color matched parts vs the bikes with all the chrome. DIMENSIONS The stand over height is approx 31 1/2.

The distance from the floor to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 28 1/2. The distance from the center of the crank to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 18 1/2. The center of the handlebar stem to the center of the seat post is approx 22. The bike will accommodate most any rider comfortably.

The seat height is easy to adjust. NOTED FLAWS I got this one just like you see it. I LOVE the fact that this bike wears its original paint! (Has chips scratches etc) The rear of the front fender and the rear fender are somewhat discolored. (see pics, you may not even notice but I like to be honest) Not sure if faded, replaced, or? The chrome is shiny but is not perfect show quality.

Both wheels have a slight wobble when you spin them. This appears to be a fairly nice original unmolested bicycle unless otherwise noted. A great bike to ride on relaxing days through the park or to the beach. Also would be a nice item to display in a shop, restaurant, rec room, sports bar, etc. Stand out from the crowd and be the envy of people who see you riding by.

These are getting to be hard to find in any condition and to my knowledge, have not been reproduced. PLEASE NOTE that many of the bikes I list have listed have been in long term storage and have not been regularly ridden in a while.
