1951 SCHWINN WORLD TRAVELER 3-SPEED RACER BIKE VINTAGE SUPERIOR TOURIST ACE 50S. Here is an original 1951 VINTAGE I BELIEVE made June 18th 1951 The serial number is H238408 and is stamped on the bottom of the crank housing. Has a 51 dated Sturmey Archer rear hub mens Schwinn World Traveler 3-speed road cruiser bicycle with 26 wheels. It is in the original and very appealing BLUE colored factory paint.

If you like UNIQUE original lightweight bikes, this may be a great bike for you. With the insanely high price of gas (and the economy being bad) now is the time to ride a cool vintage bike! This bike has a cool mens cruiser style frame and forks with original paint and decals, super cool unique Schwinn head badge, original Schwinn hockey stick chainguard, super cool slightly newer METAL FLAKE cruiser style seat, wide cruiser handlebars, Schwinn hand grips, full fenders, Stainless Steel? Have dents cool pedals, unique kick stand, and more! I believe this to be early Post WWII.

Great to restore or hard to find lightweight bike parts such as a World, New World, Traveler, Paramount, Superior etc. The tires are 26x1 3/8. They are slightly newer replacement tires and do hold air. The bike has chrome Schwinn stamped S6 rims front and rear with Sturmey Archer rear hub.

The bike is an original 3-speed and the gears to operate. The hand controlled brakes are operable as well.

(may need adjustment or possible cable replacement). I have a couple more of these from this era in my own collection.

The mens has an adjustable neck similar to the ones on the Autocycle. The ladies one has the original receipt and paperwork!

DIMENSIONS The standover height is approx 30 1/2. The distance from the floor to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 31. The distance from the center of the crank to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 21 1/2. The center of the handlebar stem to the center of the seat post is approx 21 1/2. The bike will accomadate most any rider comfortably.

The seat height is easy to adjust. NOTED FLAWS I got this one just like you see it. Ride it, restore it or use it for its HARD TO FIND parts! The paint is original and is a nice color for this era Schwinn. (has chips scratches black tape, etc) Chrome is shiny but not perfect show quality.

Both wheels have a slight wobble when you spin them. This appears to be a fairly nice original unmolested bicycle unless otherwise noted. A great bike to ride on relaxing days through the park or to the beach. Also would be a nice item to display in a shop, restaurant, rec room, sports bar, etc. Stand out from the crowd and be the envy of people who see you riding by.
