1950s SCHWINN WORLD VARSITY ROAD RACER BIKE VINTAGE TRAVELER SUPERIOR ACE 1953? IF you like cool and unusual early 1950s Schwinn Chicago bikes, check this one out! Here is an original 1953 era VINTAGE I BELIEVE made in 1953? The serial number is J74018 and is stamped on the left rear dropout.

Has a Sturmey Archer rear hub but I did not see the date ladies Schwinn World Varsity (Model W-615) road cruiser bicycle with 26 wheels. It is in the original and very appealing BLUE colored factory paint. If you like UNIQUE original lightweight bikes, this may be a great bike for you. With the insanely high price of gas (and the economy being bad) now is the time to ride a cool vintage bike! This bike has a cool ladies cruiser style frame and forks with original paint and decals, (love the red white and blue colors) super cool unique Schwinn "wings" head badge, original Schwinn hockey stick "Varsity" chainguard, Deluxe Sport cruiser style seat, "AS" (Arnold Schwinn) seat post clamp, wide cruiser handlebars, Schwinn script hand grips, full chrome raised center fenders with chrome braces, reflector bow pedals, and more!

Great to restore or hard to find lightweight bike parts such as a World, New World, Traveler, Paramount, Superior etc. The tires are 26x1 3/8. They are slightly newer whitewall replacement tires and do hold air. The bike has chrome non knurled rims front and rear with a Sturmey Archer rear hub. The bike is an original 3-speed and the gears to operate at the rear wheel.

(would need a simple cable and shifter if you want it to operate as a 3-speed) This one does have a coaster brake. (pedal backwards slightly to stop).

DIMENSIONS The distance from the floor to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 29 1/2. The distance from the center of the crank to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 20. The center of the handlebar stem to the center of the seat post is approx 20 1/2.

The bike will accomadate most any rider comfortably. The seat height is easy to adjust. NOTED FLAWS I got this one just like you see it. Ride it, restore it or use it for its HARD TO FIND parts!

The paint is original and is a nice color for this era Schwinn. (has chips scratches etc) Chrome is shiny but not perfect show quality.

Both wheels have a slight wobble when you spin them. This appears to be a fairly nice original unmolested bicycle unless otherwise noted. A great bike to ride on relaxing days through the park or to the beach. Also would be a nice item to display in a shop, restaurant, rec room, sports bar, etc.
