1950s SCHWINN S2 BALLOON TIRE BIKE WHEELS! VINTAGE B6 DX DELUXE HORNET WASP RIMS. Here is an original SCHWINN TUBULAR S-2 front and rear wheel SET which was removed from a 1950 Schwinn Deluxe Admiral balloon tire bike beach cruiser bicycle! The bike itself was made on Halloween (Oct 31st) 1950. These fit your 1940s-1950s Schwinn balloon tire bicycle with the cool deluxe NON-SKIPTOOTH 1/2 pitch chain+hub. (will fit other bicycle brands as well but these came on a Schwinn bike originally). The wheels are front and rear. They are double knurled with a New Departure rear hub. The hub pedals forward and the coaster brake operates. They are quite clean compared to most that you see. They are non stamped non knurled!

I was told this is a very big deal to the purists! They do have chips etc but have survived better than most! (see pics, I took lots and have nothing to hide).

If you EVER think you could use this do NOT miss out! Comes exactly as shown in the pics. This could be the perfect "missing link" for the right bike! I believe this fits late 1940s-mid 1950s Schwinn bike that do not have a skiptooth hub. (front is the same for skiptooth or non-skiptooth) You could put this on a Phantom, Panther, etc but they have chrome rims from the factory. This is a matched set removed from the same bike. The hardware shown is included. It has a Schwinn script front hub and a New Departure rear hub! I got this as a complete bicycle. I rarely part out bikes but a friend of mine tried to sell this one as a complete bike and sadly there was not much interest in this one as a complete bike. I have 12 SEPARATE auctions right now including the original paint deluxe frame INCLUDING a nice Admiral head badge, truss rod forks, tank with horn, fenders, clean factory painted and pinstriped S2 wheels, (New Departure rear hub) deluxe phantom/panther chainguard, fairly nice seat, handlebars assembly with neck, cranks and sprocket assembly, 6 hole rear carrier rack, "AS" seat post clamp, unique pedals, AND MORE! (the last pic shows the bike when it was assembled) They are all available on SEPARATE LISTINGS right now. I rode this bike a number of miles last summer and the wheels (and the bike) performed great! Please note, The paint is original but has chips, scratches, shows age, etc. (most bikes of this era have been repainted, rusted out, and even thrown away years ago) They should not be considered new or NOS.
