1950s SCHWINN HORNET MENS STRAIGHTBAR BIKE VINTAGE PHANTOM PANTHER RAT ROD ARMY. Here is a 1950s VINTAGE I could not read the serial number and did not want to scrape the paint. Men's SCHWINN HORNET straightbar beach cruiser bicycle with 26 wheels. These bikes are cool and almost never come along in any condition!

With the insanely high price of gas (and the economy being bad) now is the time to ride a cool vintage bike! This bike has a cool mens straight bar Hornet/Panther cruiser style frame and forks, chrome accessory chainguard, cruiser style seat, wide cruiser handlebars, Schwinn script hand grips, full fenders, (have dents) fender Schwinn sweetheart sprocket, skiptooth chain, cool pedals, and more! I got this from a local retired man who got it when he was 12 years old. He said he painted it in the 1970s and thought it was a really cool lighter version of a US Army green color. He said hes oiled everything over the years.

It is a smooth rider! This one has lots of potential! This is a cool bike! It is obviously not every nut and bolt original parts it was born with but the majority of the parts look era correct. (see pics) A great bike to enjoy in its unrestored "rat rod" type patina, restore it, or use it for parts!

The tires are 26x2.125. They are vintage tires and do hold air.

The bike has white painted Schwinn Tubular S2 rims front and rear with a Bendix rear hub. The bike is an original SINGLE SPEED with coaster brakes. (pedal slightly backwards to stop the bike) DIMENSIONS The stand over height is approx 31. The distance from the floor to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 28.

The distance from the center of the crank to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 18 1/2. The center of the handlebar stem to the center of the seat post is approx 22. The bike will accommodate most any rider comfortably. The seat height is easy to adjust. NOTED FLAWS I got this one just like you see it! It was repainted but looks cool! The chrome is shiny but is not perfect show quality. I LOVE the look just like it is! Both wheels have a slight wobble when you spin them. (most every used bike out there seems to).

Front wheel is missing a spoke. A cool bike with lots of potential! I truly hope you can appreciate this one for what it is. This is a much harder bike to find than a Black Phantom or a Krate bike.

I took lots of pics, I have nothing to hide. IF you are looking for a perfect "nut and bolt original" this is not the bike for you. If you would enjoy a cool bike, loaded with some great features at a great price, you may enjoy this one!

Enjoy this one for a fraction of that cost! Add up the value of the parts alone.

There is much more here than you think! Add a tank and you will have a sweet looking bike to display or ride! This appears to be a fairly nice original unmolested bicycle unless otherwise noted. A great bike to ride on relaxing days through the park or to the beach. Also would be a nice item to display in a shop, restaurant, rec room, sports bar, etc.

Stand out from the crowd and be the envy of people who see you riding by. People will enjoy seeing you on your vintage bike! A great classic bike at a great price.
