1950s JC HIGGINS MENS TANK BIKE VINTAGE COLORFLOW ELGIN SCHWINN DELUXE SKIPTOOTH. This is one of the COOLEST vintage bicycles I have EVER seen! Here is an original early 1950s VINTAGE (serial number is 28273) mens JC Higgins beach cruiser bicycle with 26 wheels. This was a near TOP OF THE LINE JC Higgins bicycle of the 1950s! They are much harder to find than any Schwinn Black Phantom and are very cool and unique!

With the insanely high price of gas (and the economy being bad) now is the time to ride a cool vintage bike! Ive had a few JC Higgins "Color Flow" bikes over the years but this is the first bike I have ever had like this! There is just something about this bike....

The more you look at it, the more beautiful it gets! It has such a great 1950s look! This bike has a cool original design mens frame and forks with original paint and decals, truss rod forks, frame mounted TANK with horn inside, horn has batteries and it works! JC Higgins head badge, chrome deluxe chainguard, very cool Persons leather crash rail seat, (Worchester, MASS on the lower rail) wide cruiser handlebars, cool neck/stem, UNIQUE hand grips, (have splits) full fenders with cool factory wrap around fender braces and reflectors, front headlight, (untested) cool pedals, Skiptooth chain and sprockets, rear carrier RACK, (would look nice with reflectors) chrome kickstand, and more! I got this one just like you see it and think it is awesome!! They did not sell many of these when they were new!

Consequently, they were rare back then and next to impossible to find today! The tires are 26x2.125. They are vintage Carlisle Lightning Dart wide whitewall tires and do hold air. The bike has chrome rims front and rear with a JC Higgins rear hub.

The bike is an original SINGLE SPEED with coaster brakes. (pedal slightly backwards to stop the bike) DIMENSIONS: The standover height is approx 31. The distance from the floor to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 29 1/2.

The distance from the center of the crank to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 19. The center of the handlebar stem to the center of the seat post is approx 22. The bike will accommodate most any rider comfortably. The seat height is easy to adjust. NOTED FLAWS It is not 100% flawless but is relatively nice for its age!

I love the paint scheme on this one! Has chips scratches etc but has survived fairly well for its age compared to most! The chrome is shiney but is not perfect show quality. Both wheels have a slight wobble when you spin them.

TO ME, there is just something about this bike that I REALLY like! I hope you do too! I had a hard time deciding to sell this one! Finding one of these is tough and I hope someone out there will appreciate it! This bike is LOADED with valuable parts.

It could be the star center attraction of your collection! This appears to be a fairly nice original unmolested bicycle unless otherwise noted. A great bike to ride on relaxing days through the park or to the beach. Also would be a nice item to display in a shop, restaurant, rec room, sports bar, etc. Stand out from the crowd and be the envy of people who see you riding by.

These are getting to be hard to find in any condition and to my knowledge, have not been reproduced. PLEASE NOTE that many of the bikes I list have listed have been in long term storage and have not been regularly ridden in a while. (not a bad thing) They may need standard tuning, greasing, may have old tires, surface rust etc.
